Rosii Floreak

Rosii Floreak is a behavioral scientist and researcher with a decade of experience designing evidence-based social impact programs. She has developed and tested new solutions for many tough problems: adolescent access to contraceptives in Uganda, intimate partner violence in India, and election misinformation, voter registration, and turnout in the United States. While at ideas42 and Vote Rev, she guided teams of practitioners in innovation processes — from idea generation to prototyping — and implemented large-scale randomized controlled trials to assess their impact.

Rosii’s north star has been working with cities where there is opportunity for innovation and meaningful local impact. She is looking forward to bringing a behavioral design methodology to collaboratively build systems for measuring success, in service of delivering impact for constituents.

Rosii recently graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with a Master in Public Administration where she focused on understanding American democracy and how to make it stronger and more resilient. She has a Bachelor of Science in decision science and policy & management and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Carnegie Mellon University. After many years in the Bay Area, Rosii is looking forward to working back in her home state.

Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow will establish shared data systems and collaborative structures among city agencies and community partners to monitor youth violence trends, assess intervention effectiveness, and drive data-informed decision-making. This work will enable systematic accountability and measurement of progress toward reducing youth violence while increasing youth engagement in constructive activities and civic participation.
