About

Jorge is a summer associate researching urban planning and city leadership capacity needs to inform an emerging Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative program. Previously, Jorge was a summer associate for the Bloomberg Center for Cities Program for New Mayors team. Before coming to Harvard, he worked as a research analyst at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C., where he focused on climate resilience and comparative urban governance.

Jorge has a Master in Urban Planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and urban studies from the University of Texas at Austin.

Jorge is passionate about basketball—and believes that outdoor basketball courts are essential (and underrated) public spaces in cities across the world.
