Senior Director, Collaborations and Learning Community
Glendean Hamilton is a leadership and organizational development professional with nearly a decade of experience working with city leaders and non-profit organizations. Throughout her career, she has helped communities thrive by building connections that equip local leaders with the resources they need to learn and make progress against intractable challenges. She is an entrepreneurial leader with expertise in relationship management, program development, and launching new enterprises.
Glendean returns to the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative from New Profit, where she was an Associate Partner responsible for designing capacity-building programming for a network of non-profit organizations in the postsecondary education and workforce development space. Her focus areas included outcomes measurement, and evaluation and organizational strategy. In her previous role at the Initiative as Program Director, Glendean was a member of the city support and student engagement team. She worked alongside colleagues, faculty, and external partners to develop the playbook for the suite of offerings available to participating city leaders, as well as graduate students looking to make an impact in cities.
Glendean is passionate about being a teacher to leaders, creating stronger communities, and advancing opportunities for underserved populations. She serves on the national Board of Governors for the Bard Early Colleges, a network of public high schools across the country.
Glendean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College and a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
