About
Elizabeth Bliss-Burger is a second-year student at Harvard Divinity School, pursuing a Master of Theological Studies, with a concentration in ethics, politics, and religion. She has been involved in education equity for nearly a decade, starting as a high school teacher and transitioning to a public health educator. She most recently worked alongside MIT’s Prison Education Initiative as an adjunct instructor, teaching transformative leadership alongside incarcerated students, blending cross-disciplinary approaches of political theory, philosophy and religion, and neuropsychology. Prior to HDS, she served as a lead re-entry specialist at Rikers Island, facilitating evidence-based curriculums with a restorative justice practice.
Elizabeth holds a Secondary Science Teaching Certification from Johns Hopkins and a Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from the University of Denver. Her favorite classroom is nature, where she can be found trail running, mountain climbing, or most recently, learning how to bike on Boston roads.
