Mahika Sethi

Mahika Sethi is a design researcher and strategist exploring experimental and alternative ways of engagement and gathering. She is interested in fostering curiosity and designing experiences that enable people to shape the systems and futures that affect their lives. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in product design from Parsons and a Master in Design Studies from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her work spans civic and social innovation, participatory and artistic methodologies, and inquiries into knowledge infrastructures—moving across community engagement, facilitation, and design strategy in service of more just, relational, and imaginative ecosystems.

Drawn to organizational design, she is focused on the human side of that shift; helping departments across a decentralized organization take ownership of a shared system and keeping its measures tied to the residents they serve.

Initial Fellowship Focus: The fellow will help Boulder embed a unified framework for strategic planning, performance measurement, and review across all departments. Their work will help facilitate a cultural shift from reporting data for compliance to actively applying insights for daily decision-making and cohesive, outcome-driven organizational management.
